The current context of a complex world

The world has always been complex, yet only in recent times has this awareness been internalized, when the mechanistic view has shown more evidence of its limitations.

Stacey’s diagram helps us understand how complex or not new product development is, especially in the case of very innovative products.

The seven principles underlying the Theory of Complexity can also guide us in the development of new products. The attempt to reduce development time has yielded limited results with the waterfall approach, while it finally finds a solution through the complete overlap of phases granted by the agile approach, the effects of which on the cost of delay are most obvious.
